Abercrombie and Fitch set us a project to deign a range of tshirt and fleece graphics, along with a mood book (red cover). I also created a look book (blue cover). The mood book is a collection of found imagery and my own photos to show how my designs were researched. The designs were all based on images relating to Abercrombie's heritage. I redrew some of their logos from the early 1900's, paying particular attention to tightening the typography. The look book is made up of my own photos, representing the mood of the designs and how they could be modeled. I added lots of tactile elements to the books including textured uncoated paper stock and several hand sewn elements, including the binding. The book formats are made more interesting with inserts. Paper pouches hold fabric samples in the mood book and in the look book images are printed on tracing paper to show the direct graphic reference for the clothing designs.
